ÜBERANGST is a high-end design, interaction and production studio. We design the future of consumer interaction and brand strategy for both physical and digital engagements. We work on both the aesthetic and business of brand.
We develop brands, products, packaging, digital experiences, physical environments, broadcast tv content, apps, and associated brand collateral.
The ÜBERANGST team comes from the world of advertising agencies, design firms, gaming and interactive shops, tech startups as well as broadcast production / post-production houses. Each member brings their own unique insight and talent from various industries.
ÜBERANGST was formed to connect our clients directly to our team of award winning creatives, designers, technologists and strategists. For each project, the physical deliverables come with a level of insight and consultation which creates a superior deliverable and ultimately solidifies a long term relationship between us and our clients. As CEO Peter creates strategy through creative, design, technology and business insight. He has built a global portfolio of work for museums, broadcast, online, developed groundbreaking live experiences, and products. His work has been exhibited at international auto, aeronautic, technology, and medical shows in New York, Detroit, Tokyo, Paris, Madrid, Istanbul and London. He has designed and directed and designed a permanent exhibit at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and has been featured by Apple.com. Raymond has consulted for a diverse range of clients including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Nissan, Hearst, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Africa-America Institute and the Rockefeller Foundation on institutional and communication strategy.

Nick Ericson
Creative Director
Nick Ericson has been working on Design, Effects, and Post Production mostly for Fashion and Beauty clients for 10+ years. Nick is an award winning Technical Director, FX Supervisor Animation Director and Designer. Before Nick started working in the FX field, he worked as an Agency Art Director, Creative Director, Commercial Director, Illustrator, and TableTop photographer. Throughout Nick's career he has worked with both agencies such as Baron & Baron and Lloyd and Co, as well as brands like Esteé Lauder and Calvin Klein.

Jesse Wachtel
Executive Producer
Jesse Wachtel oversees all client relationships and production. Jesse is also a key design contributor with an expertise in user interface design having led the development of multiple mobile apps and games. Jesse was the founder of PhoneTag and designed the world's first visual voicemail application called SimulSays.

Leon Zinder
Design Director
Leon is a multidisciplinary designer with 10+ years of experience in industrial design, home furnishings, interior architecture and branding. At Überangst, Leon combines his expertise in design and strategy with his uncanny ability for pattern recognition to uncover new solutions to familiar and not so familiar questions. Before joining the Überangst team, Leon had worked on projects for W Hotels, Ralph Lauren, Troy Soho, and Li & Fung. He holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and studied furniture design at The Royal Danish Academy School of Design. Leon is an optimist and a pragmatist but will sometimes draw to an inside straight.

Rex Canning is a Brooklyn native who comes to ÜBERANGST with an extensive background in Business Development, Film Production and Post Production. With a mind for business, technical and creative; whether sitting next to you at video village, critiquing a portfolio or in the boardroom, Rex speaks your language. Throughout his career Rex has done work for National Geographic, “Law & Order”, Universal Pictures and “SNL” among others and is ready to work with you.

Nathan Tam
Accounts Director
Staten Island born Nathan Tam developed his love for accounting while counting windows on the Staten Island Ferry. Having received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from SUNY Albany, Nathan kicked the tires of the big banks and decided a life surrounded by creatives would better suit him. Nathan waits for the Friday work whistle to blow to hit the Garden State Parkway to practice his card counting skills in Atlantic City.

Gretchen Wobensmith
Brand Consultant
Her passion for educating people on skin care, lead her to the International Dermal Institute and Dermalogica where she became a Regional Training Manager for the East Coast. In her 8 years with the IDI and Dermalogica she traveled the world training skin therapists, and became a spokesperson for Dermalogica. She would go on to speak at industry events, Birchbox and appear on Good Morning America as a skin expert.
In her time with Dermalogica, she was also responsible for testing and evaluating different batches of existing products from the line as well as new products prior to them launching in the market place.
She now takes that experience and consults with salons, spas, therapists and skin care manufacturers to help them reach their goals, build their brands, and drive their businesses to success.

Paul Samulski
Strategist
Paul has spent 20+ years in the video game industry as Head of Product Development, New Technologies and Licensing for both Acclaim Entertainment and NewKidCo Games and also consulted for many others. He overlapped that with work as Creative Director/Executive Producer at Action Sports Adventure Productions, Founder/Creative Director of ALUNA Productions, and Partner/Creative Director of the G/A/M/E (Games and Music Experience) Tour. Everything started in the toy industry with positions as Senior Director of Product Development at Matchbox Toys and EVP/Creative for LJN Toys. Grew up in Buffalo, lives in Manhattan (wife, kid & dog)…still roots for the Bills.
